We all wish AC Harding the best of luck today as she represents the Unit, and indeed, East Kent District at the Southern Area swimming gala. Abigail will be traveling
down to Portsmouth with cadets from other Units in East Kent and will compete against other cadets from the Units across the South of England.
Good luck Abi!

The band travelled to our good friends at Royal Tunbridge Wells Sea Cadet Unit today and joined with their band to perform at their Beat Retreat and auction evening to help fund-raise for the trip to Wiesbaden in Germany next February of which we have been invited to. The event went off without a hitch and a good sum of money was raised. The band sounded excellent and there were great comments made all round.

Today the band travelled to Chatham Dockyard to play for a cocktail party that was organised by West Kent District and Chatham Dockyard to celebrate the opening of
HMS Cavalier's cadet accommodation and training premises. The cocktail party was held aboard HMS Gannet and was well represented by the Sea Cadet Corps as well as
prominent members of the local community. This was meant to be a massed band event but for one reason or another the other Units in both East and West Kent were
unable to attend so our band stepped up to the plate with help from SLt. Steve Louch from Sheppey Unit (DSO Band West Kent).
Well done lads and lasses!
